Location information
The cemetery is on an island off the West end of Sicily. Levanzo is a commune in the province of Favignana (Isole Egadi) which can be reached by ferry from Trapani. Cemetery Address: Via Calvario 91023 frazione di Levanzo, commune di Favignana (TP).

History information
The Italians entered the war on the Allied side, declaring war on Austria, in May 1915. Commonwealth forces were at the Italian front between November 1917 and November 1918. The Royal and Merchant Navies were active in the Mediterranean and Adriatic throughout the war and many of their dead are buried along the Italian coast.
Levanzo Communal Cemetery contains one Commonwealth burial of the First World War which was brought in from an isolated position at Calcara.
