Location information
Aieta Communal Cemetery is located on the west coast just off the main No.18 road, opposite San Vito Chapel. The secondary road leading to the village is very windy and the cemetery is found immediately on the right hand side of this on passing the name sign of the village. Aieta Communal Cemetery contains one Commonwealth burial of the First World War, that of an unidentified Indian sailor of the S.S. "Umballa", topedoed on 24 December 1917.
