Location information

Solan is a hill town in Himachal Pradesh. It is located 46 kilometres south of the state capital, Shimla. Solan can be reached by taking the train from Kalka, which takes about 3 hours or by road which takes about 2 hours.

Visiting information

The cemetery is housed within Solan Military Station. The formal road access to the cemetery is through the military station which needs permission and casual access is normally denied except for rare funerals. There is a difficult rough approach from the railway track side. Nearest landmarks is old Shimla highway local intra-state bus stop.
