From downtown Winnipeg, access by car Osborne Street and go south. The cemetery is located at 506 Osborne Street.

Visiting information

The cemetery grounds are open for visitation from sunrise until sunset.

History information

During the First World War Winnipeg was the headquarters of No 10 Military District and it contained six military hospitals of 972 beds. Air force and army training camps were established in the area during the Second World War, with No 103 Canadian Army Basic Training Centre at Fort Garry. Winnipeg (St Mary's) Cemetery contains 30 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, most of them in the Soldiers' Plot in Section B. There are also three Second World War burials.
