Location information

The village of Astakos is situated on the south west tip of the Greek mainland, a few kilometres north west of the town of Mesologi and opposite the island of Ithaca. The municipal cemetery is located on the right hand side of the road just before you enter the village if coming from the direction of Thessaloniki and the left hand side of the road after the village if coming from Athens. The British military plot is to the rear of the cemetery on the far left side.

The Cemetery is permanently open and may be visited at any time.

History information

The cemetery contains 11 Royal Navy graves from the period 1890 to 1911. It does not contain any First or Second World War Commonwealth graves. The Commission maintains the plot on behalf of the British Government.
