Location information

Craonnelle is a village in the Department of the Aisne, 17 kilometres south-east of Laon. The Cemetery is on the north west side of the road to Craonne, on a steep hillside above the village.

History information

Craonnelle Cemetery was made after the Armistice.

There are now over 20, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, over half are unidentified. Seven of whose names are known fell on the 27th May, 1918. They are buried among the French dead in different parts of the cemetery.
