Location information

George is about 40 kilometres from Mossel Bay. Follow York Street out of town in the direction of Pacaltsdorp and the N2. Just after the railway line turn left at the crematorium and follow the road (which forms a U) up to its end. The Commonwealth war graves are in the Presbyterian section of the cemetery on the right.

During the Second World War 61 Air School of the Empire Air Traning Scheme operated from the George aerodrome.
