Location information

Villenave d' Ornon is a southerly suburb of Bordeaux. The Cemetery is 90 metres west of the main road from Bordeaux. It lies behind a church near Pont-de-la Maye, where the main road crosses a stream. GPS co-ordinates 44.78994, -0.5716 There are 8 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war here (one sailor and five airmen belonging to the forces of the United Kingdom; one man of the Merchant Navy and one airman of the Royal Canadian Air Force). The graves of the six airmen are next to the 'Monument des Brutes' and the other two graves are on the far left side of the entrance.
