Location information

Lacanau-Ocean is a seaside village and commune in the noted wine-growing district of Medoc. It is 52 kilometres west of Bordeaux, at the end of a secondary road (N215/D6) from Bordeaux through St. Medard-En-Jailles and Ste. Helene to the coast. To find the Cemetery, take the access road marked 'Plage Nord' and follow almost to the beach. There is a road to the right signposted 'Camping Airotel de l'Ocean'. Go past the campsite and the Cemetery is on the right. There is 1 Commonwealth burial of the 1939-1945 war here, to the left of the main path, 19 metres from the gate.
