Location information

Lisieux is a town 43 kilometres east of Caen and 40 kilometres south of Le Havre. From Lisieux take the road to Paris. 400 metres past the Basilique the cemetery will be found on the right hand side. The Commonwealth War Graves Plot is in Section A (Ter.2) Allee No.2.

History information

The town of Lisieux, was two-thirds destroyed by the bombardment of June 6th-7th, 1944. There are 12 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war here, 1 of which is unidentified.
