Location information
Sokoto, the administrative centre of Sokoto Province on the north-western boundary of Nigeria is 222 kilometres by road from Gusau. The cemetery, situated in open land near the western side of the Provincial Office, contains the graves of 12 Commonwealth soldiers of the 1939-1945 War.
History information
The burials at Oni Cemetery were moved to this cemetery in 1967.
