Location information

Kaduna Military Cemetery is situated at the eastern end of Kashim Ibrahim Road, close to the Civil Cemetery. On the northern side of the approach road to the cemetery, immediately in front of the entrance, will be found the Kaduna Memorial, subject to a separate register. This memorial commemorates West African soldiers of the 1939-1945 War who are believed to be buried in the Kaduna African Christian Cemetery, but whose graves could not be located or identified after the war.

History information

Distributed among the various denominational sections of the cemetery are 15 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-1945 war, 1 of which is unidentified. They are marked by Commission headstones and surrounded by kerbs, The non world war grave of an African soldier who died in 1948 is also situated among the war graves in the Roman Catholic Section.

The cemetery is surrounded by a wall and is planted with trees and shrubs. The entrance, on the northern side, leads to a circular path at the centre, from which other paths radiate to enclose the separate plots.
