Location information

This uncontrolled cemetery is situated on a private farm. Follow the road from Otavi in the direction of Grootfontein for 4 km. A track flanked by a power line leads from the gate on the left of the main road. Follow the track for 180 paces, turn left and walk 120 paces to the cemetery which is situated next to a wind pump.

History information

With the exception of one German and one South African, the deaths resulted from the clash at Otavifontein on 1 July 1915. This was the last skirmish of significance in the 1914/15 campaign.
