Burial service for two soldiers will be held at CWGC’s New Irish Farm Cemetery.

A burial service will be held for an unknown soldier of the Essex Regiment and an unknown soldier of unknown regiment at 2.30pm at New Irish Farm Cemetery.

The casualties were discovered in 2014 during building work near the site of the original Irish Farm Cemetery.

The service will be attended by British Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

 

Thursday 7 November

Burial service for Lance Corporal Frederick Thomas Perkins will be held at CWGC’s Loos British Cemetery.

A burial service will be held for Lance Corporal Frederick Thomas Perkins at 10.30am at Loos British Cemetery.

Lance Corporal Perkins was discovered in 2018 during building work near Lens and recovered by CWGC staff.

His CWGC headstone will bear his name, regimental details and a personal inscription chosen by his family.

The service will be attended by family members, British Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
